The dial is also polished green ceramic and features laser-engraved waves and a date window at 6 o’clock. The skeleton hands and raised indexes are rhodium-plated and are filled with white Super-Lumi Nova, while the helium escape valve has been given a conical design. It was with OMEGA’s maritime legacy in mind that the brand launched its Planet Ocean line in 2005. The stylish OMEGA Sea master Planet Ocean 600 M Master Chronometer GMT pays homage to OMEGA’s dive watch heritage.
This model, with its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, features a black ceramic dial with Arabic numerals, a date window at the 3 o’clock position and a central GMT hand. Mounted on the 43.5 mm stainless steel case is the world’s first polished bi-ceramic black and white bezel. Here, the numerals and scaling are delivered in contrasting colors to separate night from day.
Other features include a screw-in case back and a blue leather strap with rubber lining.
The OMEGA Sea master Planet Ocean 600 M Master Chronometer GMT is water resistant to 60 bar (600 meters / 2000 feet), and has a helium-escape valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer caliber 8906 at the heart of this timepiece can be seen through the transparent case back. The ceramic bezel has the first 15 minutes inlayed with orange rubbers, while matching details are found on the grey dial.Launched at BaselWorld 2016, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean reference 215.90.44.21.99.001 features a titanium case and bracelet. The first 15 minutes of its revolving bezel are inlaid with orange rubber, while the matte grey dial sports matching accents.
