Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding 41 mm Chronograph Rose Gold Gent’s Watch
During the Watches & Wonders show in Shanghai, Vacheron Constantin introduced its latest Overseas model. The Overseas Self-Winding 41 mm in pink gold, with reference 4500 V/110 R-B 705. The 4500 V isn’t new, as such. In fact, I just learned the other day from one of our readers that the steel 4500 V with blue dial has quite the waiting list. But, this version in all pink gold certainly is a novelty. A purist might prefer the Overseas in steel, but I am developing a soft spot for gold sport watches.

Fitted with a column-wheel chronograph movement put on show through a sapphire crystal glass exhibition feature on the rear of the case, the sporty Overseas watch by Constantine Vacheron is a compact and stylish timepiece that has gained global admiration for its iconic case shape and innovative features. This model measures a 42.5 mm diameter and has been crafted from stainless steel. Equipped for plenty of underwater use, the watch is also integrated with 150-meter water resistance and features a strong anti glare sapphire crystal glass front, a screw-down case and a polished push-piece at 2 and 4 o’clock for effortless control of the chronograph features. The model boasts a classic black dial with luminous stick hour markers and hands. A date window resides at 4:30, accompanied by a 30-minute sub-counter at 3 o’clock, a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock and a 12-hour totaliser at 6 o’clock. The men’s Vacheron Constantine Overseas Chronograph hand is powered by the self-winding Calibre 5200, which provides a 52-hour power reserve. It comes fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with a deployment clasp and a further two straps. The black alligator leather strap transforms the look of the watch for something more formal or sophisticated depending on the occasion.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillion Men’s Watch.
What we have here is the very first tourbillon ever to join the Overseas collection. It’s stainless steel, in keeping with this ranges roots, and, coming with extra rubber and alligator straps, it features Vacheron’s easy strap change system. The tourbillion caliber used for this new watch is the in-house caliber 2160, which features automatic winding via a peripheral rotor and a massive-for-a-tourbillion 80-hour power reserve. Viewed from the back, this is a nice looking movement thanks to the peripheral winding system, which ensure that the winding mechanism never blocks the tourbillion. It’s also a relatively new caliber that debuted just last year in gold and platinum executions in the Traditionnelle line, which I enjoyed wearing when I reviewed it last year. It also joins GMT, chronograph and perpetual calendar options in the Overseas range, signaling that Vacheron is intent on building out its sports luxury line with a wide range of features and complications.
At 42.5 mm in diameter, this watch is on the larger side of watches I would tend to wear. Wondering where other watches in the Overseas range fall in terms of size, I went back and checked the size of the Overseas chronograph, and confirmed that that watch is also 42.5 mm. I didn’t find that one to be too bulky at all back when I wore it for a short time last spring. So I’m interested in going hands on with this tourbillion when I see it in an S I H H booth. I fully get that pairing a high-complication with a classy sports watch is not going to be for everyone, but I for one think that this is a cool-looking watch with a blue dial.

This latest version of the Vacheron Constantine Overseas Chronograph in a pink gold case with a blue dial exudes a warmer and more luxurious vibe than other models in the current line-up. Admittedly, there is another pink gold model in the collection, but it has a more demure silver dial and just two strap options. This stunning Overseas Chronograph comes with Vacheron Constantine‘s impressively finished bracelet in solid pink gold and two additional straps allowing you to dress it up or down, according to the occasion. Equipped with the in-house integrated chronograph caliber 5200, this 2022 Overseas Chronograph retains all the specifications of former models but cuts a dash in its handsome pink gold and navy suit.

VACHERON OVERSEAS PERPETUAL CALENDAR ULTRA-THIN 41.5 MM PINK GOLD WHITE DIAL BLACK LEATHER WATCH
This 18 K pink gold watch elegantly combines a Fine Watchmaking complication with a sporty aesthetic. At just 8.10 millimeters thick, it houses an ultra-slim perpetual calendar which will display the correct date until 2100. A moon phase with a star-studded sky and two gold moons complement the calendar. The watch can be personalized thanks to its system of three easily interchangeable straps – leather, rubber, and 18 K 5 N pink gold. Through its links, the bracelet subtly reveals the Maltese cross, a Vacheron Constantin icon.
